   9 day hiking through Montenegro


(Participants: from 5 to 12 persons) - Price € 850/persons


Day 1: Transfer to Goles Katun

* Transfer to the Goles katun ( shepherd`s village ) at the Bjelasica mountain in Kolasin area

* Stop for a lunch

* Passing through Kotor, Budva, Podgorica ( the capital of Montenegro )

* Visit to the Moraca monastery ( optionally, depending on the timing )

* From Kolasin transport will be continued with 4WD up the Bjelasica mountain offroads

* Arrival, accommodation and dinner in Goles katun ( shepherd`s village )

 * Sleeping in two beds bungalows


Day 2: Biogradska Gora National Park

* Breakfast in katun

* Hiking from Goles katun to Donji Lumer peak and than down to the Biogradska Gora lake

Walking: 4h 30min  (ascending 200m ; descending 700 m)

* Having lunch by the lake

* Transfer through the Tara canyon to Zabljak town in Durmitor massif

* Accommodation in two beds bungalows

* Observing the site of Zabljak

* Dinner and sleep in bungalows


Day 3: The Durmitor National Park

* Breakfast in the camp

* Hiking in Durmitor

Note: Durmitor is the wonderful massif having planty of hiking trailes, peaks over 2000m and lakes. Depending on the walking ability and the mood of the group, your guide will decide which trail is going to be walked.                                                                                               

Walking: up to 8 hours

* dinner & sleep in Zabljak


Day 4: Rafting at the Tara Canyon, the deepest canyon in Europe

* Breakfast

* Transfer from Zabljak to Crkvicko Polje ( Piva mountain area )
Transfer is partly a jeeping tour that passes the tarmac road in Susica river canyon

* Accommodation in bungalows at Crkvicko Polje

* Lunch

* Rafting through the Tara river canyon

* Transfer to Crkvicko Polje and dinner with overnight there (four beds bungalows)


Day 5: Urban settlement Rijeka Crnojevića

* Breakfast

* Transfer through the Piva canyon to the Skadar lake

* Fish lunch in hidden restaurant by the river of Rastovac

* Continuing with the transfer to Rijeka Crnojevica historical site at the shore of Skadar lake

* Hiking from Rijeka Crnojevica to the old village of Smokovci                                       

 Walking: 2 hours (ascending: 400m)

* Accommodation in traditional montenegrin house&chatting with our hosts

* Dinner will be prepared by our hosts

* Overnight in Smokovci village

Note: accommodation in this house is with less comfort


Day 6: National Park of the Lake of Skadar

* Breakfast with our hosts in Smokovci

* Hike from Smokovci village to the village of Poseljane, situated at the shore of Skadar lake

Walking: 1.30 hours (descending 400m)

* Boating at the Skadar lake with visiting fishermans villages of Dodosi and Karuc

* Having a fish lunch at the restaurant by the lake

* Transfer from Karuc to Ivanova Korita. On this transfer we will stop in Cetinje ( the Old Capital of Montengro ) and visit the National museum of Montenegro.

* Dinner in Ivanova Korita at the foot of Lovcen mountain summit

* Overnight in Ivanova Korita


Day 7: Lovćen National Park

* Breakfast

* Hiking from Ivanova Korita to the Babina Glava cliff, passing by Dolovi village and finish at Kuk under the summit of Lovcen.                                                                                   

Walking: 4 hours   (ascending: 200m ; descending 150m)

* Transfer from Kuk to Kotor by an local asphalt road with excellent views on Adriatic sea

* Visit and lunch in the Old Town of Kotor

* Transver from Kotor to Perast

* Settling in Perast ( private accommodation )

* Scenering the city and having dinner in a restaurant

* Overnight in Perast

Note: the dinner will be by your own order and fee


Day 8: Bay of  Kotor

* Breakfast

* Transfer to Ubalac village

* Hiking from Ubalac to the Vranovo Brdo fortress, continuing down to Orahovac village. The fortress is an old Austro-Hungarian structure situated at an excellent view on Kotor and the bay

Walking: 4 hours  (ascending: 100m ; descending: 750m)

* Transfer from Orahovac to Perast

* Lunch

* Afternoon: visit to the magic island-church “Our Lady of the Rocks”

* Optional dinner in Perast

* Overnight in private accommodation in Perast.


Dag 9: Transfer

* Breakfast in a restaurant in Perast

* Transfer to the airport (Dubrovnik, Tivat or Podgorica) or transfer to your hotel if you booked an extension


Included in the roundtrip:

  • - 9 days monitoring/guiding ( English speaking guide )
  • - All the transports in Montenegro incl. transfers from/to airport and jeeping to Goleš katun
  • - One day rafting on the Tara River
  • - Boat excursion on the Lake of Skadar
  • - 5 nights accommodation in bungalows
  • - 3 nights accommodation in private houses
  • - 3 meals a day ( exceptions: breakfast on first and dinner for day 7 and day 8 )
  • - All entrance fees for the National Parks
